Locksmith Near Me

When it comes to choosing the right guy for the job you will need to ask for their full legal business name. If an operator gives out a generic name, you may need to consider calling a different business that will identify itself.

Do a quick internet search. Use the company name with words like review or complaint as it will help you determine if the company has a good reputation and their employees are qualified enough to do the job. Ask the operator to confirm the address shown in the ad. If the ad doesn’t show an address for the business, then it’s somewhat suspicious so find out why. Legitimate Locksmith(s) who operates a mobile business or runs the business from home will be able to explain that.

You may also have to describe the job or the type of lock you have before you get the estimate as it will help them to get prepared and or determine if they can do the job or not. Get an estimate of the overall cost. If the estimate is very low, confirm that it covers all fees and charges, including:

  • Labor

  • Replacement parts

  • Fee for a service call

  • Additional fees for mileage, fuel surcharge, responding to a night call, tool usage or other items.

Ask the Locksmith to bring a written copy of the estimate.
